CAROLINE DALE

I began having Alexander Technique lessons in 1996 in my search for relief from a frozen shoulder and RSI. I was sure that I would not be able to continue with my profession as an International Art Consultant unless my problems could be resolved.

After a series of lessons, my symptoms had all but gone and I found myself to be deeply interested in the principles underlying Alexander's discoveries and how they had alleviated the disorders that were seriously impacting on my body and general health.

Over the next two years I began to realise the potential for Alexander's work within many areas of society and I decided to train as a teacher. My three year training ended in 2001 and I have been teaching a wide variety of people since then. My pupils have ranged in age from 6 to 94 and have included a wide variety of disorders.

I am currently on the staff of The Alexander Teacher Training School in Central London, training future Alexander Teachers.
I am a member of Council for the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT)and Chair of the PR and Marketing Committee.

In 2002 I gained a level 4 City and Guilds Certificate in Adult Education Teaching. I give presentations and workshops in a variety of professional and teaching organisations.

I believe it is increasingly challenging for people of all ages to meet the physical and mental demands of 21st century life and I believe the principles of the Alexander Technique are unrivaled in their potential for restoring psycho-mechanical harmony and increasing well-being.
